Leadership South West

Leadership South West is committed to upholding the principles and values set out in the Modern Slavery Act 2015 of the United Kingdom. We recognise that slavery, servitude, forced labour, and human trafficking are serious violations of fundamental human rights and are wholly inconsistent with our values, purpose, and way of working.

Policy Statement

We take a zero tolerance approach to slavery, human trafficking, and forced labour in all forms. We are committed to preventing these practices within our own operations and across our supply chains.

Our business practices, policies, and procedures are designed to reflect this commitment and to ensure that we act ethically, transparently, and responsibly at all times.

Supplier Due Diligence

We expect all suppliers, contractors, and business partners to share our commitment to eliminating slavery and human trafficking. We take proportionate and risk based steps to understand and manage risks within our supply chains.

These steps include:

Supplier Assessments
We assess suppliers, where appropriate, before entering into business relationships. This includes reviewing their approach to anti slavery and human trafficking, working conditions, and employee welfare.

Audits and Monitoring
We monitor our supply chains and review supplier relationships on an ongoing basis. Where concerns or non compliance are identified, appropriate action will be taken to address and remedy the situation.

Supplier Contracts
Our contracts include provisions requiring suppliers and partners to comply with all relevant laws and regulations relating to slavery and human trafficking.

Employee Awareness and Training
We raise awareness among our team to help them recognise the signs of slavery and human trafficking and understand how to raise concerns responsibly.

Reporting and Whistleblowing

We encourage employees, suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders to report any concerns or suspicions relating to slavery, servitude, forced labour, or human trafficking.

Reports can be made confidentially, and we are committed to protecting individuals who raise concerns in good faith from retaliation.

Investigations and Remedial Action

Any concerns raised will be taken seriously and investigated promptly and appropriately. Where violations are identified, we will take decisive action, which may include terminating business relationships and reporting matters to the relevant authorities.

Continuous Improvement

We are committed to continuously improving our approach to identifying and addressing the risks of slavery and human trafficking. We regularly review our policies and practices to ensure they remain effective, proportionate, and aligned with legal requirements and recognised best practice.

Commitment

This statement reflects Leadership South West’s ongoing commitment to acting ethically and responsibly, and to playing our part in preventing slavery, human trafficking, and forced labour within our business and supply chains.
